How to Add a Generator

The Key Generator in the WC Key Manager plugin is a tool that allows you to create unique keys for products or services. These keys can be used for various purposes, such as licensing software, granting access to digital content, or managing product activations. The generator ensures that each key is unique and secure, preventing unauthorized use or duplication. With customizable settings, you can define the format, length, and complexity of the keys to meet specific needs, providing a flexible and reliable solution for key management.

Follow these straightforward steps to add a generator :

  1. Go to  Key Manager > Keys > Generators.
  2. Click on the Add Key button.
  3. Enter the name for the generator in the Name field.
  4. Now give the pattern of your generator.
  5. Enter the charset for the generator. Leave empty for default Charset.
  6. If the key expires after a certain period, input the days in the Valid For field. It will be calculated from the date of purchase.
  7. Input the number of times the key can be used in the Activation Limit field. If you want the key to be used only once, enter 1 here. Please leave it blank for unlimited usage.
  8. Now, on the right side, select the status of this generator. Leave it as it is, or if you want to mark the generator as inactive, click on the dropdown menu and select “Inactive.”

Note: The hash symbol (#) will be replaced by a random alphanumeric character. The placeholder {product_id} will be substituted with the product ID, and {product_sku} will be replaced with the product SKU. Additionally, the placeholders {d}, {m}, {y}, {h}, {i}, and {s} will be replaced with the current date and time.

Finally, click on the Submit button to save the generator. If everything is correct, rest assured that the generator will be added successfully. If there are any errors, you will be notified immediately.
